Falling in love with typography, I decided to take Typography 3 at my university. Little did I know how large the challenge in front of me was. In this semester-long project, we were tasked with creating our own text typeface. Throughout this process, I learned that minor changes have major impacts, especially when many letters working together. I also learned I produce my best work when I take a step back. Staring at the same serifs and curvatures for too long can make you crazy and think you're going blind. When you take a step back you can gain some perspective that will make you think "How did I not see this sooner?" Nevertheless, this was one of the most impactful classes I have taken at my time at Northeastern.
